Announcing the upcoming launch of my designer shoe line —ADKreativ

On Friday, March 27, 2020, I will be launching my first Limited Edition “ADK” shoes from my upcoming All Day Kreative Shoe Collection.

The shoes that I will showcase in my upcoming collection were inspired by East and West coast flavors integrated into one.

The shoe is 100% handcrafted in Le Marche, Italy, also known as The Shoe Valley. The ADK’s features a classic high top look, pristine quality black leather, a gold sole and comfortable to wear, and eye catching. The insoles are carefully designed and made out of organic cotton and leather. It will also arrive in its own custom box. Shipping is free.

Simple Recipes during Quarantine — Easy Honey Garlic Marinade for Chicken

Eating snacks is cool and all but what about dinner?

I’m currently on Day 3 of “Lockdown” and Trump announced this morning that drugs used to treat malaria and severe arthritis, were approved by the Food and Drug Administration to test as a COVID-19 coronavirus treatment. We’ll see how that goes. I’ve been struggling to adjust to this new lifestyle and it’s tough staying indoors all day especially when you’re a naturally outgoing person.

Anyway, I went to the grocery store yesterday and I noticed that chicken seemed to be popular during quarantine since the poultry section was cleared out. So I walked over to the beef section instead — low and behold, I found a small pack of drumsticks waiting for me next to the ground beef. Score! I grabbed the pack of chicken and a few other things then checked out as fast as I could. The store wasn’t as crowded but it was apparent that people didn’t understand what social distancing meant.

Fast forward, I want to share an easy marinade recipe with you. You can use chicken thighs or chicken drumsticks. But like I said in my previous post, I am not a fancy chef nor did I go to culinary school. Growing up with two younger brothers, I had to learn how to cook so I could feed my brother and myself while my parents were at work or out “gallivanting”.

This recipe is for 5 large chicken drumsticks. I know, I know…this was all I could find at the grocery store.

These are common ingredients that can be found in your pantry!

Honey Garlic Marinade

  • 5 Chicken thighs or 5 Large Chicken Drumsticks
  • 3 cloves of garlic — chopped
  • 1/4 cup of vinegar, I used Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 1/8 cup of water
  • Ground pepper (optional)

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix.

Add the chicken, cover up the bowl, place it in your refrigerator and allow it to marinate for 30 minutes to an hour. I normally marinate my chicken for more than an hour. It’s up to you.

And there you go, a quick and simple marinade for chicken. After it’s done marinating, remove the chicken from the bowl and discard the liquid. You can either grill the chicken or bake it. If you choose to bake it, place the marinated chicken in an oven safe baking pan or glass baking dish at 350 degrees for an hour.

I find this recipe helpful to people that normally don’t cook at home. Be safe out there!

Quarantine Snacks — No Fire S’mores

I’m going to start this new thing on my website. I’m going to post one random easy recipe a week using basic ingredients. FYI, I am not a Chef nor did I go to culinary school.

Today marks the first day of the “Shelter at Home” order in Solano County. I was able to leave today and grab some groceries. Since I have all this free time at home, I’m going to share with you what I made today. I call this “Quarantine Snacks”.

No Fire S’mores


Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Honey Graham Crackers
  • Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars
  • 2 bags of Kraft Jet Puffed Miniature Marshmallows
  • Baking sheet
  • Aluminum foil (Not required)
  • Oven (Duh!)

Directions:

Preheat your oven to BROIL.

Break the graham crackers in half

Place one half of the graham crackers on the baking sheet, set the other half to the side.

Add a few marshmallows on top of the graham cracker

Place the baking sheet in the oven and leave it in for about 1-2 minutes. After the first minute, check the graham crackers to make sure it doesn’t burn. It will look like this when it’s done:

Sorry left the crackers in my oven a few seconds a little too long by accident. I couldn’t find my oven mitts!

After you remove it from the oven, place the chocolate bar on top of the marshmallows. It will look just like this:

Now you’re at the finish line. All you have to do is grab the other half of the graham cracker and place it on top. Just like this (See video):

And there you have it! A quick and easy Quarantine Snack without the bonfire. 🔥 By the way, don’t forget to turn off your oven!
